I'm a proud, card-toting member of the 4-eyed club, and have been since the age of 7. See that first, translucent frame, above? My very first pair was quite similar, but with little flcks of pink at the temples. And I hated it with a passion.

I dunno, something came over me in the Eye Doctor's office and I was drawn to that vintage style for whatever odd reason. Maybe I hung around with my two Great Aunts who lived upstairs of my home a little too much, and their 40's/50's aesthetic rubbed off on me; the hubbie (we'll call him Dr. Professor from now on) sure thinks so!

Whatever the reason, I was all about sporting those massive frames around the way. But then I realized that I needed to wear one of those dreaded, granny-ish neck cords to keep the glasses safe, and I needed to be careful with it - no more jumping off bannisters and sliding down winding staircases for me - I quickly began to hate those frames.

So now it's ironic that I'm once again in love with those vintage shapes, right? I'm thinking of getting a full-on, Tortoise shell pair to wear when I want a lil change from the cool ones I inherited from great-aunt May when she passed away recently, but any one of those above pairs from Massada will do me just fine...
